Context
The client, an international IT company, decided to relocate its headquarters and top management, along with their families, to Prague. Our task was to ensure a smooth relocation, taking care of everything from legal formalities to logistics for the employees’ families, so that they could continue with their business and private lives in the new environment without facing any obstacles.
Tasks
- Organizing the relocation of the company owners and their families to Prague.
- Relocating top management and their families.
- Finding and securing office space suitable for the new branch.
- Obtaining visas and residence permits for all members of the management's families.
- Creating a legal entity (company) in the Czech Republic to continue operations.
- Opening a corporate bank account.
- Providing a package of contracts for employees (employment contracts, service agreements, etc.) and for housing families (lease agreements, utilities, etc.).
- Transfer of assets belonging to both the owners (personal property) and the company (IT equipment, technology, etc.).
Implementation steps
- Legal and organisational relocation plan – action map: visas, new address, establishment of a legal entity in the Czech Republic, bank account and launch of a contractual structure.
- Search for office space: selection of offices in Prague according to the team's needs.
- Applications for visas and residence permits for IT specialists and their family members.
- Company registration – entry in the register, DIČ registration, etc.
- Opening a bank account, credit check and establishing contacts with the bank.
- Contractual and residential documentation: employment contracts and rental agreements for family accommodation.
- Asset relocation – coordination of the relocation of equipment, IT equipment, and personal property.
Key point
The biggest challenge was ensuring the corporate and family aspects of the move were handled simultaneously, including the legal issues related to visas, contracts and logistics. Thanks to comprehensive project management and close collaboration with the client and government agencies, we were able to coordinate every stage, from office relocation to schooling, enabling management and their families to settle in quickly and focus on their work.
